It’s been said that human beings are different from all other animals because of our ability to know what is going to happen to us in the future. Not that we know, specifically, our lives will unfold. But rather, that humans know that we are going to get old and that we were all going to die. Unfortunately this knowledge doesn’t drive us forward to enjoying the limited time we have here.
